The Things we Keep to Our Inner-selves

It’s been 2 months since WHO announced COVID-19 a global pandemic.

Two full months of hustle with life, reading sad breaking news about how the virus has impacted the global economy. Sad news it is.

But the saddest part of the whole thing is feeling the impact yourself. In a developing economy like Kenya, you don’t get much support from the government able organizations.

I have seen suffering and have been part of suffering. It’s painful to wake up in the morning without an idea on what you're going to eat that day. I was jobless before the virus, pulling freelance jobs here and there to earn a living. I have been more jobless during that time. Contracts wont come, and there is never anywhere to go for help. friends will console you that things will be okay. You’ll take heart, but how does faith feed anyone. I have questioned my faith severally, living on hope and losing the same hope entirely.

I know there are many people out there who are in this situation. We live one day at a time. We eat a meal when we find one. We’ve become scavengers. Our prayer is for the menace to end.

How do you deal with such situations?

How do you manage?

Questions without answers.

There are millions of articles online on how to deal with the effects of the pandemic!

There are no businesses online!

There’s no available help for those who are quietly suffering!

We believe we are useful.

We are creative.

We have faith.

We just lack an opportunity

A little gesture just to extend our hope?
